Horizons’ Residents (from left to right) Wayne, Catherine, Dr. Wilheim Holdon, Rose, Andie, Paul
Horizons Rehabilitation Center, located in Rigel Heights, offers comprehensive residential care for a variety of addictions. Horizons maintains a strict code of confidentiality and residents are known only by their first names.
Wayne entered Horizons quite some time ago for an stay of indefinite duration by order of the court. It was either Horizons or prison and Wayne is way too pretty to spend time behind bars.
Catherine, an Orion Bay socialite whose social drinking no longer took place only in social situations, was committed to Horizons by her husband Francis. She is the most recent arrival and is still struggling to cope with her new surroundings.
Update! Catherine has returned home to Mendenhall Place after completing her program.
Dr. Wilheim Holdon founded the Horizons Center with two partners after graduating from SSU. His partners have long since retired to beach houses on Twikki Island but Dr. Holdon’s sympathetic nature will not allow him to leave those who need his help to overcome their addictions.
Rose’s addiction stems from a decades old injury that involved a field that required plowing, a plow and a lack of a horse. The pain prescription that she was given to help her deal with the intense aching in her lower back has been refilled monthly since 1952. Only when she went on vacation and forgot her pills did she realize that she had developed an unhealthy addiction, she signed in to Horizons upon her return.
Update! Rose is now nanny to Sabrina and Theodore Winfield and resides at the Winfield’s estate, High Lawn.
Andie shopped til she dropped… into Horizons. When “insufficient funds” began blinking on all her credit card transactions, Andie knew it was time to declare bankruptcy and get help so she stuffed her Louis Vitton luggage full of designer duds and surrendered herself to the Horizons program.
Update! Andie is now owner of H&M Heights thanks to the generosity of Catherine Mendenhall. She still resides at Horizon’s but is waiting for an apartment to open in a new condo complex in the nearby city of Nephila.
Paul’s success on online gambling sites led him to quit his job, pack his car and head for Vegas with the dream of becoming a professional poker player. If it hadn’t been for his early success, he may have gotten out it time but as it stands, he didn’t and he soon found himself panhandling for chips on the strip. A passing reflection of himself in a store window told Paul, who not so long ago had a full head of hair, that it was time to get help.
Update! Paul has found romance with Talia Cwik, matriarch of Orion Bay’s disgraced Cwik family and has packed his bags and his deck of cards and moved in with his beloved, her daughter, son in law and grandchild.

I love the little back stories on all the residents
They made me laugh, especially as their profiley things have their addictions on them just like all the other stuff.
